EVERY HOLE A DIFFERENT PEAK

Playing Golf Cortina is not just golf, but an immersion in the Dolomites, a UNESCO heritage site. Discover the Ampezzo peaks that overlook every starting tee: every hole a peak.

 

Hole 1 – Col Rosà

Par 4 – 295m (men) 260m (women) Col Rosà is the peak towards the north that closes the Ampezzo valley at an altitude of 2,166 meters

Hole 2 – Cinque Torri

Par 3 – 135m (men) 120m (women)

Cinque Torri is the complex made up of five rock spurs (from which the name derives) and reaches a maximum altitude of 2,361 metres. Each tower has its own name: Torre Grande, Torre Seconda, Torre Latina, Torre Quarta and Torre Inglese. On the starting tee of this delicate downhill par 3 you decide which tower to aim for based on your starting position on the green.

Hole 3 – Antelao

Par 4 – 360mt (men) 270mt (women)

Monte Antelao, known as the King of the Dolomites, with its 3,264 meters is the second peak in the Dolomites. The Antelao is a powerful pyramidal whole, divided into gorges and vertical chimneys on all sides; the perfect top for our most difficult hole.

Hole 4 – Punta Nera

Par 4 – 320mt (men) 280mt (women)

Punta Nera (2,847 m) is a Dolomite peak in the Sorapiss group, located south-east of Cortina D’Ampezzo. It offers challenging excursions in summer and ski mountaineering routes (up to the Sella, 2,738 m) in winter. Reachable from the Faloria Refuge, the climb offers spectacular views.

Hole 5 – Croda Da Lago

Par 5 – 425mt (men) 390mt (women)

Croda da Lago is a mountain massif in the Ampezzo Dolomites south of Cortina whose highest peak rises to 2,715 metres.

Hole 6 – Faloria

Par 4 – 280mt (men) – 215mt (women)

Monte Faloria, famous for its ski resort, is a mountain that rises east of Cortina d’Ampezzo at an altitude of 2,123 meters

Hole 7 – Tofana di Rozes

Par 3 – 105mt (men) 95mt (women)

Tofana di Rozes (3,225 m) is one of the most iconic and spectacular peaks of the Doloomini, located north-west of Cortina d’Ampezzo. Famous for its imposing south face of around 800 metres, it is a classic mountaineering and hiking destination, with a famous circular route and a normal route (EE) accessible from the Dibona Refuge.

Hole 8 – Gruppo Tofane

Par 4 – 260mt (men) 230mt (women)

Tofane Group, the most majestic massif of all the mountains overlooking the Ampezzo valley. The Tofane are characterized by three dominant peaks, all with an altitude above 3,000 metres, the Tofana di Rozes, or de Fora (3,255 metres), the Tofana di Mezzo (3,244 metres) and the Tofana de Inze, or di Dentro (3,238 metres).

Hole 9 – Becco di Mezzodì

Par 4 – 270mt (men) 220mt (donne)

Becco di Mezzodì (2,602 metres) is a peak in the Croda da Lago group. It was one of the first peaks in the Ampezzo Dolomites to be climbed, on 5 July 1872, by Utterson Kelso and Santo Siorpaes).  The name derives from its use as a sundial by the Ampezzo people, in fact from Cortina the sun at midday is exactly above its top.
